MICHAELA BURNS
OWNER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
With a decade of experience in the interior design industry, Michaela Burns is the owner and principal designer at Michaela Burns Interiors. Michaela's journey in design began with formal education at George Brown College, where she honed her craft in their Interior Decorating program. To further enhance her expertise and stay connected to the design community, she is also a proud member of the DDA (Designer's Association).
Michaela's design ethos is firmly rooted in the classics. She enjoys creating eclectic spaces that blend textures, colours, and items from different eras. Art holds a special place in her heart, and she often incorporates it into her designs, transforming spaces into works of art themselves. Over the years, her design style has evolved, transitioning from a fascination with Art Deco to a current passion for the soft modern trend.
Michaela derives inspiration from the natural world. Nature, with its intricate dance of straight lines and curves, shadows and light, rough textures and smooth surfaces, has a profound impact on her creative process. This juxtaposition of elements in nature mirrors the dynamics she incorporates into her designs, making each project unique.
Michaela shares her life with her husband, Mike, and two sons, Jack and Oliver. In her free time, you'll find her unwinding with family and friends or trail walks with her dog, Myles. She also oversees the management of four picturesque waterfront rental cottages in PEI, ensuring that even in her downtime, she's immersed in the world of creating inviting and delightful spaces.

CINDY GRANDE
SENIOR DESIGNER
Cindy brings more than 14 years of industry experience with her and is an award-winning honours graduate of the Humber College Interior Decorating program. She is passionate about building strong relationships with her clients and strives to understand their needs to make elevated yet practical design recommendations. She describes her design style as contemporary with a little bite and draws inspiration from global architects, designers and artists. She is often found on the go, sourcing the perfect decor pieces for her clients, and is always first to RSVP for team Nacho Night.

MONIKA LELKI
PURCHASING & OPERATIONS MANAGER
Monika is a seasoned interior designer with six years of industry experience and an Interior Design Advanced Diploma from George Brown College. With more than four years working in an operations capacity, she has thorough experience managing projects, budgets and client relationships. In her role as Purchasing & Operations Manager, Monika uses her keen eye for design to curate fabric and furniture selections for client projects while also overseeing billing, invoicing, project coordination and client installations. Her design style seamlessly combines comfort with a classic casual twist, and her favourite interior design style is a crisp, coastal vibe. She draws inspiration from nature and the ocean, crafting harmonious designs. Outside of work, Monika enjoys spending time with her family, and her two young girls keep her busy and on the go.

VERONICA DI GIOVANNI
INTERMEDIATE DESIGNER
With 5 years of experience in the interior design industry, Veronica brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to every project. As a graduate with honors from Humber College's Bachelor's of Interior Design Program, Veronica has a solid academic foundation complemented by her hands-on experience in the field. Veronica's love for her role is evident in her daily dedication to expressing her passion for design and art. She finds joy in pushing the boundaries of design, presenting clients with endless possibilities for transforming their spaces into unique reflections of style and functionality. Beyond the world of design, Veronica loves spending time with her family and she cherishes the moments spent creating memories with her husband and two young boys.

EMMA LEWIS
JUNIOR DESIGNER
Emma brings with her more than five years of industry experience, including set design at CBC, and The Bachelor In Paradise, Season 2 (Filed in Midland Ontario, who knew?!). With an Interior Decorating Diploma from Humber College and a Visual Merchandising Arts Diploma from Sheridan College, Emma brings a unique touch to every client's space.With a personal style characterized by a comfy classic vibe with a modern twist, Emma's favorite design aesthetic is Historic European with a contemporary flair. She finds inspiration in tactile objects and experiences, drawing from nostalgia and personal memories to craft bespoke designs. Outside of work, you may find Emma enjoying the outdoors, frequenting farmers markets or thrifting for unique finds.
